How To Embedd a PowerPoint Slideshow in a Webpage

web_pagePowerPoint slideshows are an excellent way to get information across in a visual, easy to understand, interactive way. But did you know that you can share your PowerPoint presentations with anyone – even those that do not have PowerPoint installed in their computers?
Embedding a slideshow allows users to share photos, swap notes, attend long distance meetings and even promote website features. And without the need to link countless individual photos, reaching a wider audience instantly becomes much easier. With Sky Drive, embedding a PowerPoint show on any web page or blog is fast and easy.
The first step, once you’ve created your slideshow using PowerPoint on your PC, is to visit the Sky Drive website. Sky Drive is a free, secure, cloud-based file storage system available from Microsoft. (Previously, Sky Drive was known as Windows Live Folders.) If you’ve never been on Sky Drive before, take the time to check out the system’s features, as you might be surprised at how much you can upload and share. Then, if you don’t have one yet, crate an account.
Next, follow the instructions to upload and save your finished PowerPoint presentation in Sky Drive. You can then right click on the name of your slideshow, and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on Embed.
An embed code will appear on the menu. Click on Copy and, if asked, allow Sky Drive access to your clipboard.
Now you’re ready to insert your embed code onto your web page or blog post. If you’re using WordPress, there’s no need to switch to HTML editing. Other blogs or web sites might require you to edit in HTML in order to escape the iframe. This is easy to do. Simply write your entry or post as you normally would. When you’re ready to insert your slideshow, switch o the HTML editing view and then paste your code by either right clicking and selecting Paste, or clicking Ctrl + V.
Keep in mind that by updating your slides or information on Sky Drive, your embedded information will automatically change as well; there’s no need to re-paste your code.
That’s it! You’re now ready to share your slideshows, notes, and much more with the world.
